Quick Write: Blame

Here is my 12th Quick Write.

Once when I was reading over a script for a play. The script was missing the pages with my lines and so when it came my time to read and I couldn't read, the teacher got mad at me. All of a sudden it was my fault that there were pages missing. There were a few pages missing so when I was trying to find our place, it wasn't there. I was flipping through many pages to find where we were and it made noise. After 5 minutes, the teacher took the script out of my hands and threw it on the ground behind him. He was really mad but it wasn't my fault.

Quick Write: Bullying

Here is my 11th Quick Write.

Bullying. A worldwide epidemic that has taken the lives of way too many. I am a student at Hale Charter Academy and I have had first hand experience with bullying. I was verbally and physical bullied. I was called raciest things, called words of profanity, kicked, hit, and slapped. If I was in charge I would try my hardest to stop bullying. To do this I would change advisory to a bullying sessions so that kids could speak up if they were getting bullied. So far this isn't the best idea but it gets better. There would be a separate room that kids would go into to see their teacher and talk. What if they're too scared to talk to someone. Well, you'd have the choice of either writing down, record yourself talking about it, or you could video yourself. If bullies were caught they wold be talked to why they were bullying. Sometimes it is because of personal reasons. If that was the case, I would try to work those things out. They wold still be sent to the dean for a day as punishment for bullying in the first place instead of suspension. If they were bullying just to bully, then they would be expelled and transferred to another school. Hopefully my plans to stop bullying would work but it is hard to stop a worldwide epidemic, not impossible.

Quick Write: A Grade in Life

THIS IS WHERE THE 2ND GRADING SESSION STARTS!!!

Here is my 9th Quick Write

    Everyone wants to live an A+ life. But what is everyone's idea of an A+ life. If I lived an A+ life, I would be living in Massachusetts with my boyfriend in a nice 2 bedroom 2.5 bath in a gated community. I would have a perfect relationship and I'd be enjoying life. Every morning I would kiss my boyfriend goodbye and drive off in my black BMW convertible. I'd go to get my frap-mocha with carmel and fudge shots and whipped cream at a drive-through Starbucks. Then I's go to my 10am classes. I'd either be going for my teaching credential or my M.D. I'd know that my boyfriend is at work running a division of a major company. I would drive home after my job at a daycare working with the sweetest little toddlers you could ever meet. I'd think to myself, yay, it's Friday. I'd come home with a beautiful dinner made and friends around. I would love to have an A+ life.
    But of course you can't always live in your fantasy world. In a C life I would be going to a UC school. I's still be shooting for a teaching credential or an M.D. I'd probably be single and living in a decent apartment but not top notch. I'd drive a Honda civic from 5 years earlier, I'd have a bowl of Trix every morning and I'd make myself a coffee. I'd come home on a friday and watch Family Guy while eating Cup o' Noodles. Then Castle would come on and I'd turn off the TV. I'd wonder what I should do next. I realize that I have an exam on Monday and that I'd have to, oh no, study. So I'd get my glasses and at 1:30 crash. I'd probably wake up at 1 in the afternoon and have a friend over the rest of the day. My life would be okay if I lived a C life.      
    The life almost no-one wants to live is an F life. An F life isn't necessarily a fail, but it's not good. If I lived an F life, I would be homeless and living on the streets of downtown. I'd be some sort of addict and I'd have a boyfriend, but not the good kind where you're all lovey dovey. I'd have no car and my highest level of education would be high school graduate. Life wouldn't be the best if I lived an F life.
    So hopefully I'll end up with an A+ or C life and if I continue on the path I'm going on, then I'll turn out just fine.

Quick Write: Wearing a Raincoat

Here is my 8th Quick Write.

I think the song Wearing a Raincoat is anti-drugs. I think this because of the lines "comes at a price" meaning that before the guys thought is was a good idea to smoke but now he's high and he regrets it so he's saying smoking comes at a price. Another line that makes me think that this is an anti-drugs song is "you will play the drums to help to sleep" because earlier in the song it says that you will turn to drugs to fall asleep but when it says to play the drums, it is like saying find an alternative to drugs instead of taking them to solve your problems because they won't. I definitely agree with my interpretation with the song and think you should never smoke anything whether you are in middle school or are 45, never smoke.

If I could get anything in the world, I would want to be super famous. People who are keeping me from achieving this goal would be agents who don't want to sign me and other people who don't think I'm good enough. If I were to become famous I would have lots of money and I would buy mom a house in Hawaii, Malibu, or New Zealand. I would also get her a gunmetal gray X5 and buy myself nice clothes. I would buy myself a Mac Book Pro Air, iPad2, and iPhone 5 when it comes out. Life would be good if I was super famous.

Quick Write: Fairy Tale

Here is my 5th Quick Write.

My favorite fairy tale is Princess and the Frog. I like it because 2 people from 2 completely different backgrounds embark on an incredible journey. I like the voodoo involved in it because it makes the story unique. I like the goofy alligator and the weird firefly. When the girl is teaching the prince how to chop and cook I thought that was romantic. I love how the firefly thinks the star in the sky is another firefly, names her Angelina, and falls in love with her. It is sad but beautiful how the firefly dies and it is a cloudy night and when the clouds roll over there is another star next to Angelina representing him. The exciting New Orleans atmosphere was fun and I loved the stimulating theme of Mardi Gras. If I could change it, I would change the ending because it doesn't make much sense. In the end, the frog prince and girl are supposed to kiss before midnight to become human again, but they don't so after midnight they kiss and they're human but it didn't make sense to me. I still loved Princess and the Frog anyways.

when Carmen left her dad (South Carolina) to go to her mom (D.C.)

no her father still got married

to accept things the way they are because they can't always change for you

her father still marries but the marriage/family turns out to be better than she thought

Quick Write: New Rule

Here is my 4th Quick Write.

I think that all students should be able to go to the restroom. The exeption would be that if you take over 5 minutes, you will have to stay after class. This will encourage kids to go to the restroom faster for the future. This will help keep kids from peeing or pooping in their pants! Another exeption would be that you can only use the restroom once a day (in Mr. McCabe's class) It might still interuppt the class and will take away from kids' learning though. This will help Mr. McCabe because kids will stay in calss longer and go to the restroom faster. Hopefully, the restroom won't take away from too much learning so that kids can go to the restroom if they need.

The English Game: Definitions

letter: A character or symbol within the alphabet. ex: a, b, or, c

word: a combination of letters, vowels and consonants, making a sound. ex: word

sentence: a combination of words that explain, tell, or ask something. ex: When will your go to Barney's Magical World?

paragraph: a combination of sentences that focuses on and explains a certain subject. too long for an example

syllable: a part or sound of a word containing at least a vowel and sometimes a consonant

Quick Write: Girls vs. Boys

Here is my 3rd Quick Write.

Girls and boys have the same amount of smarticles. Some boys are "too cool for school" but some are like Einstein. Some girls are too wrapped up in boyfriends and popularity so they aren't presenting their full potential. Some popular girls are still smart but then there are girls like helen Keller who went to college even though she was blind AND deaf. This kind of makes me mad because if the popular kids used their smarts and tried harder then we would all be smart!

Oh, yeah girls mature faster as well. Ha, ha.

In front of my is Shiva and she has curly hair and glasses. Diagonally left of me is Morgan and she has blond/brown hair. In a different direction are some interesting and weird people. To the right is another pod of smart boys. I see a picture of lizards, The Scream, and night. There is a fake eye chart and on the 3rd line it says ISNOT. I think that's funny. To the left, right, and back of my are whiteboards that are written on a lot. I see a black coat hanger on a cabinet to the left of me. I also see the desk of the awesome Mr. McCabe.
