Fake or Real?

Today we were in the computer lab and we had 10 links to 10 websites. We had to tell if we thought the website was real or fake and why. Here they are.

1. The history of boilerplate, the world's oldest robot.
Fake- in the picture the wagon has the year 1887 on it, but when you put your mouse over the picture, the year is 1893
2. If you love dogs, you'll send your dog to dog island.
Real- dog island is a real place and people have sent their dogs there
3. An online test can reveal if you suffer from DSACDAD, which is treatable with Havidol.
Real- Havidol is a real medication
4. Now parents can choose their kid's DNA.
Real- genetic engineering is a real thing
5. A company offers custom genetic body modifications.
Real- you can do everything on the website that it says you can do
6. Learn about the dangers of dihydrous monoxide, an incredibly common and potentially deadly chemical.
Fake- the website doesn't look real or official/formal
7. If you like weird animals, the Pacific Tree Octopus is one of the weirdest.
Fake- the picture is definitely photo shopped
8. The most beautiful money in the world is from Antarctica.
Fake - there is not a lot of information on the web page
9. If you always thought Minnesota was cold, me too. But the town of Mankato is different!
Fake- Mankato is in Mongolia (Asia), Dracula's Castle is in Europe somewhere
10. You kids are too young to remember when Kresky was the hottest show on television.
Real- Kresky is a real TV character/person

OMG! Today (really the day after we went into the computer lab) we found out what sites were real and which were fake! Drum-roll please!......... All of the sites were fake!!! I kind of saw that coming though. Well there are the results
