active- the subject of the sentence is doing the verb
passive- the subject is having the verb done to it
A- I drove the car.
P- The car was driven by me.
A- The soldier shot the man.
P- The man was shot by the soldier.
A- The test was taken by the students. VS The student took the test. -P
